In 2006, the new north terminal extension was opened. The airport has three terminals: A & C for non-Schengen, and B for Schengen departures. Arrivals 1, in terminal A, handles the Schengen arrivals, while Arrivals 2, in terminal C, handles the non-Schengen arrivals.

Public Transport — Getting into the city is simple too. Cover the 13km in a cab for less than 10 lats (about 15 Euros), or hop on the number 22 city bus to Central Station for 0.2 lat, or the airport express 22a to Reval Hotel for 0.25 lat. Both are in the city centre. You shouldn’t expect to wait more than 15-20 mins for one and the journey time is around 30 minutes.
#Bus : Bus No.22, which leaves from Abrenes Street, has direct services between the airport and the city centre. You will get out straight at the terminal on the 2nd level. To get on the bus at the airport look for bus stop located opposite the terminal behind the car park. Frequency 10 – 30 minutes, journey time about 30 minutes. Fare 0.40 LVL, luggage 0.80 LVL. Bus No.22A – express service – connects the airport with the centre of Riga (bus stop “Katedrāle”, Brīvības Blvd.), fare 0.40 LVL, luggage 0.80 LVL.
