Constant Vanden Stock – RSC Anderlecht – Brussels Belgium
RSC Anderlecht is based at the Constant Vanden Stock (Lotto Park) football stadium, located in Anderlecht, a municipality located in the Brussels-Capital Region. It’s the most succesful football club in Belgium and play in the Belgian Pro League.
In 1917 the stadium was called Émile Versé Stadium in the name of a generous patron. Prior to 1917, the club has played on a ground in the current Rue du Serment/Eedstraat for a couple of years since 1908, then in a stadium located Rue Verheydenstraat (now Rue Démosthènestraat).
In 1983, the stadium was completely rebuilt and took the name of the president Constant Vanden Stock. Its capacity was decreased to 28,063 (1,583 of which in business seats and 406 in V.I.P. boxes). There are still standup places behind the two goals but during European competitions, the stadium is all-seated (decreasing capacity). They have long-standing rivalries with Club Brugge, Standard Liège and FC Brussels (RWDM Molenbeek).
