There all several public beaches and 15 private beaches in Nice, some of them are owned by Nice seafront Hotels. The private beaches are easily recognized by their colorful umbrellas, and have a restaurant or bar where you can have lunch, dinner or enjoy a cocktail.
Admission to a private beach is not free. On the private beaches you pay for a lounge chair, umbrella or towel. At most private beaches there are lifeguards on duty daily. The free public beaches are all positioned between the private clubs and beaches.

La Plage Publique de Beau Rivage — free public beach next to the private Beau Rivage plage, at the easterly end of the Baies des Anges. It is one of the most popular public beaches in Nice
Plage Publique du Voilier — Voilier Beach located nearby the Neptune Beach and on the Blue Beach.
Plage de Lenval — Lenval Beach is situated in front of the Lenval Hospital. Toilets and showers are provided.
Plage Sainte Helene — Sainte Helene Beach is a free public beach section in the west of Nice, close to the Carras Beach.
Plage de Carras — Carras Beach is the westernmost beach, close to the airport. It’s the only beach in Nice where visitors can bring their pets.
