The Barcelona Sants Railway Station is the main train station in Barcelona is the “Estacio-Sants” (located west of the center of the city) and is the primary AVE train station for national and international arrivals/departures.
There are rail routes from Barcelona-Sants to pretty much every regional and suburban rail station, along with a number of national and international destinations, such as French border towns and Lisbon in Portugal. If you take a trip from Barcelona, this is the station you’ll most likely use. The Sants metro stop (L3 & L5) is located below the station.
There are two main train stations in Barcelona (Estació de Sants and Estació de França) and two main bus stations (Estació de Sants and Estació de Nord). These are well connected by metro and bus as well as the local train service that runs through Passeig de Gràcia Station and Placa de Catalunya Station.
When staying in the Sants area you can easily reach Plaza Catalunya and La Rambla in 10 minutes by bus or from Sants Estació Metro Station. Plaza Espanya and the Magic Fountain are within easy walking distance. Sants train station has become a very important area for accommodation, as it’s ideal if you’re catching an early train in or out of the Sants railway station.
