Where is the Start and Finish?
The Hamburg Triathlon starts from Alster at the Jungfernstieg jetty. The athletes start with a 3.8 km swimming session through the Binnenalster (inner Alster) and the Außenalster (outer Alster) lakes.
After swimming, the athletes move on to a bicycle ride session, which covers approximately 180 km. The bikes pass through the transition zone at Ballindamm. This session takes place at the Ventum bike course, which offers a flat terrain for cycling with a relatively short climb at Köhlbrand bridge.
