Gare Montparnasse is a major SNCF train station and is located in the Southern part of the city accross the Seine river in the Montparnasse area, in the XIVe arrondissement of Paris, France. There is a direct metroline (4 Porte d’Clingoutant) towards the North Station. Here many trains towards everyrthing west of Paris towards the Atlantic Ocean (Brest).
Gare Montparnasse actually has 3 separate stations. (1-Maine, 2-Pasteur and 3-Vaugirard). All, metro and suburban trains depart from Maine.
The station is used for the trains to West and South West France, and the TGV to Tours, Bordeaux, Nantes. There is also a metro station.
