The King Baudouin Stadium is the home of the Belgian national football team, the Memorial Ivo Van Damme Athletics as well as various music concerts.
The ground is located in the northwest of the city, 6.5 km from the Grand Place. The closest metro stop to the stadium is Roi Baudouin, which is the final stop on Metro Line 6. Journey time to the stadium by metro from Central Brussels Railway takes around 40 minutes with a change from Line 2 or 1 to Line 6 at Beekkant.
The stadium can also be reached via tramway 93 and then alighting at Stade, a tram stop located close to the entrance of the stadium. By tram it takes around 35 minutes to reach the stadium.
Those wishing to get a taxi or drive from the city centre to the Stadium will find the journey takes them around 20 minutes, outside of busy periods.
It is also the home ground of the national Belgium Rugby Union Team and Union SG. The stadium also features a race track and therefore also plays host to a number of athletics events, and more recently tennis events too. As well as accommodation, those visiting Brussels to attend a sporting event are looking to discover what to do in the area and how to get from the city centre to the stadium.

This area of Brussels may be seven kilometres from the city centre, but there is still plenty to do here. In addition to the Mini-Europe amusement park and the famous Atomium structure, families can enjoy the Oceade Waterpark and the Brussels Planetarium, all of which are just a few minutes walk from the football stadium.
Also nearby is the Brussels Design Museum and the vast Osseghem Park Laeken. A short metro or tram journey to the centre of Brussels will take visitors directly to the city’s top attractions including the Grand Place, the Royal Palace of Brussels, the Royal Museums of Fine Art and the celebrated Comic Book Museum.
Here in the city centre visitors can also enjoy upscale shopping in the famous Galeries St. Hubert shopping centre, an array of vintage fairs and flea markets as well as the city’s best restaurants such as Comme chez Soi, al fresco cafes, street food stalls as well as a huge number of bars and nightclubs, including the famous techno-HQ, Fuse.
When staying for a couple more days, you can always opt for a tour to for example Bruges city centre or Antwerp.

By Coach — Long distance coaches arrive at Brussels North station or Gare du Nord. The city centre is easy to reach by bus or train.

The high speed Thalys train connects Brussels with Cologne train station hotels (2hrs, 23mins), Paris Gare du Nord (1hr, 20mins) and Amsterdam (2hrs).

Nearest Metro Stations — the closest metro stops are Heysel, Roi Baudouin, and Houba-Brugmann. They can be reached with metro line 6 and 1A which also stops by railway station Gare du Midi (Zuidstation or South Station).
